Enterprise Connect 2012, ORLANDO, Florida, USA – 26th March 2012 – iscoord ag, a leading provider of Unified Communications (UC) softphone applications, is announcing today at Enterprise Connect 2012 a partnership with Plantronics aimed at improving unified communications and collaboration for mobile professionals.
The Plantronics Voyager PRO UC is the first of a new generation of intelligent headsets incorporating sensors that detect aspects of the user’s physical world. By utilizing the Plantronics’ Spokes software developer kit (SDK), iscoord incorporated this contextual intelligence into is-phone® UC softphone clients to know when the headset is worn, user proximity to their PC, mobile call state, and with whom the user is talking.
At Enterprise Connect 2012, iscoord will showcase the integration of Plantronics’ Spokes™ software in its is-phone® Desktop – Communicator Edition. The is-phone® Desktop – Communicator Edition client provides smarter presence information and improves the mobile experience where users can receive mobile phone calls by using their Voyager™ PRO UC headset, is-phone® Desktop – Communicator Edition displaying the caller details on their laptop/desktop and allowing acceptance of the call with their mobile or softphone.
